Hybrid, Gas, Electric

Automotive News

In today’s age when you go to buy a car the decision is much more difficult than truck vs. SUV vs. compact. Besides taking into consideration all of the styles, you also have to choose which brand and now you can add to the mix the choice between hybrid, electric, and gas. Because not all hybrids and electric vehicles are alike (each comes in a variety of styles, from mild hybrids to battery electrics) it can be difficult to choose what’s right for you. If you’re thinking about getting a more environmentally friendly vehicle and can’t decide between hybrid or electric, make sure to take a look at this article. By comparing the different varieties of both electric and hybrid you can make a more educated investment. Just know that no matter what kind of car you end up purchasing, or currently drive, our shop is a great resource to handle many repairs you may need in the future. One helpful service we offer is what many people refer to as a tune up. What used to be a tune up has changed as computerization has replaced traditional carburetors. With an AUTO EKG or tune up we can get a good reading on different parts of your car and see to it that things are in working order. When all the components of your vehicle are performing at their highest capabilities you’ll definitely see the results while driving. As an extra bonus, our tune ups come with a complimentary inspection. This check lets our mechanics touch base with your car and get a feel for what its current condition is. It allows them to catch any problems you may not have realized your vehicle was experiencing. It also gives them a chance to map out what issues may need to be addressed within the upcoming months and years. When you and your local mechanic are up to date on the happenings of your car you can be sure that your vehicle will run more effectively. So, whether you own an electric, hybrid, or gas car, there’s some way that our crew of talented mechanics can help. If you reside in Laurel, Burtonsville, Maple Lawn Farms, Fulton, Clarksville, Highland, or Columbia Maryland, then make sure to stop by our shop. We’re here to answer any questions you may have or fix any problems your car may be experiencing.

I was driving my son’s SUV in MD when it failed to start after buying gas. The AAA tow truck took me to Thoroughbred Auto Care. They diagnosed the problem (it was the starter) and had me in and out of there in just a few hours. Their follow up to a concern of mine after picking it up was second to none!!! What auto shop calls you to answer your questions with the correct answers!!! Seriously!!! The service staff as well as the mechanics were so thorough! Guess that’s why they’re called ‘Thorough’bred!!!”

THANK YOU!!!
