The major exhaust system components are the catalytic converter and muffler, both of which can fail and require replacement at affordable prices. Other components include pipes, clamps, and exhaust manifold. Issues with the exhaust manifold or cylinder head are more rare. Our technicians leverage decades of experience, ASE certification, and advanced diagnostic equipment to precisely diagnose catalytic issues and arrange trusted, cost-effective repairs or replacement. We serve the communities of Laurel, Fulton, Highland, Maple Lawn, and Burtonsville.

Catalytic Converter Services

The catalytic converter is located closer to the engine and heats up rapidly. This heating effect is desired, as it uses palladium and platinum internal parts to convert unburned hydrocarbons into less harmful carbon dioxide and water. Water production can potentially cause corrosion over time. However, catalytic converter failure may also result from impacts that dent, puncture or damage the unit. While rare due to manufacturers’ engineering, such impacts remain a possibility.

Do You Find Yourself Searching For:

  • What is a Catalytic Converters and what is its Function?
  • How much Platinum is in a Catalytic Converter?
  • How do I know if my catalytic converter is working?
  • How Much is a Catalytic Converter?
  • Can a Catalytic Converter be repaired?
